Attention Art Instructors!
The mission of the nonprofit, federally approved Kay Bain Weiner (KBW) Glass Art Educational Foundation is to stimulate interest and promote growth in the glass art industry through educational projects. To further this mission, the KBW Foundation has a responsibility to encourage the teaching of Glass Art in the public schools, where art programs have been severely cut in the face of critical budget shortages.
With the cooperation of various Glass Art publishers, the KBW Foundation has donated over 58,000 surplus Glass Art books, magazines, and videos to schools, colleges, and adult education centers.
We have a good selection of paperback books available covering various glass techniques including various Pattern Books and How-To Techniques. Please note: we do not have any books on glass blowing. These books are offered to instructors of public schools and colleges free of charge. The retail value of each book ranges from $11.95 to $29.95. Free books (one per student) are provided to teachers packed in a box of approximately 24 books of each title. A shipping fee of $15 per box will be required.
In order to qualify for books, instructors must be currently teaching at a public school, college, or adult education center. Instructors are required to complete a BOOK REQUEST FORM. We must receive this forms before your books can be shipped. Books are for class use and not to be sold under any circumstances. You may keep the books for future classes but we do not know how long various titles will be available. (You may give excess books to your school library.)
It is our privilege to partner with you in encouraging others to discover the joy of learning to express themselves through the glass arts. We sincerely appreciate your dedication to helping us make that a reality in the lives of your students.
Please feel free to contact us at any time. Better yet, find us on FaceBook and we'll be glad to answer any questions.

"Mojave High School and I are very appreciative of your donation of the magazines for our art glass program. I spoke to my classes about the foundation's scholarship for a deserving student to attend a class at the Glass Craft & Bead Expo next year. It was great to see some eyes sparkle and students telling me they had signed up for the ceramics and glass II again next year."
