Kay Bain Weiner is the recipient of the Art Glass Industry 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award by the Glass Art industry. She is the founder and director of the new Kay Bain Weiner Glass Art Educational Foundation. Kay is also the innovator and developer of various techniques, tools, and color agents used throughout the glass industry.

She is the author of 13 books on glass art and design and has also written and produced several related audio tapes, cds and videotapes. She is a writer for various glass magazines. Kay has been a regularly featured lecturer and seminar instructor at all major national trade shows in the glass industry.
