Operated by the Corning Museum staff, there are daily demonstrations  on board the ship in the open-air Hot Glass Studio. Watch professionals create stunning pieces of blown glass art.

Defining a schedule and firing a kiln brings confusion or apprehension.  Randy & Carole will show you how to use the six levels of fusing to banish fear and replace it with fun! They will overview “Fusing Level Sample Set”, to logically select a firing schedule and their “Project Log” sheets to take the guesswork out of setting up a digital controller.
 
A demonstration and seminar covering his unique glass art techniques.
David will show sample works and discuss his innovative creative fusing process and applications. He will introduce his Flexi-Glass medium and vertical glass casting.



 
Jesse Cogswell, owner of Gemini Saw Company, will give you an overview of various glass saws and their capabilities. Learn how different saws and blades can accomplish different cuts. He will discuss the unique features of Ringsaws and will explain how a saw can cut intricate shapes in glass that would be difficult with a glasscutter.
 
Saturday, May 18th - 1:45pm 
Get acquainted with glass artists, professionals and hobbyists. This is an opportunity to network and share your photos. Learn more from the Conference instructors and their classes, and view examples of workshop projects.

Learn a variety of beading techniques, including bead embroidery with glass beads to embellish fused cabochons. Create a beautiful piece of jewelry to keep or give as a gift. These can be made as simple or elaborate as you wish. Creating exquisite, wearable art is easier than you think!

Learn to etch designs on clear glass bevels or mirror using stencils or free hand. Using a simple etching compound that permanently etches glass, we will combine three glass products and techniques to make our final project in class.
